It still exists

Clearly my Xanga still exists...  I just do not utilize the bloggin option on any of the sites I use. Facebook or Myspace... I only do it from time to time and I use the same blog for all three of these. Sorry... I just kinda keep stuff to myself more or less these days.
But here is an update only for the Xanga readers. I no longer work at BP, but now i work campus safety at Cornerstone... its decent work third shift primarily and its boring. However It is nice to be alone and just think about stuff. So that is a plus.
A lot of things have been going on... getting me down, bringing me up , and confusing me... but so is life right? Reunited with some old friends, even lost a couple, but just seems to be how it is.

Roger Waters concert was amazing, and I guess it’s a good time to write about it. I initially planned to write about it a long with the Eric Clapton concert, but since the Eric Clapton concert situation went to hell, and I still have no clue what is happening with it, I guess I can talk about the Roger Waters one at least.

Roger Waters did a phenomenal performance opening with In The Flesh 2 (from the Wall) than a few other tracks from the Wall, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, than tribute to Syd Barret (Shine On You Crazy Diamond) other songs from Wish you were here. Than he did SHEEP from Animals... blew my mind. Especially since they had the giant Pig prop (never did I think I would get to see that). He than played some solo tunes, and other Pink Floyd. Intermission took place, and I bought a t-shirt... made it back just as the beating heart of Dark Side of the Moon began...
It was amazing... and the 50 year old guy was lightening up so I'm sure he liked it to,
seeing Dark Side of the Moon was amazing... and the album just so deep to where I was at in my life.

That concert was pretty much the highlight in like two weeks, including the week that was still in progress... nothing really went to well. I went with John Charon, Mark D, and Jake and it was an excellent time... I drove home. Than just lived out the week normally.

As I said the Clapton situation went to hell, and after all the stress of it, got there only to find he was sick... was in Michigan to long and just like the rest of us got sick. So drove home went to Jon Heeringas... a great guy along with Jer. The main other high light among the heavy times was Christie coming to visit me at work Tuesday night. I haven't had any visitors in awhile, especially her, and so it was really nice being able to catch up with her for awhile. Her visit was really good in the wake of my current friend situations.

Other than that I've been busy with school, studied while at work... on the day that the manager came in to fire Peter... so all that got done that night was pricing when Sarah was still there... made me feel bad / made me look bad. O well, I'm working third shift Saturday and next Tuesday for the guy who got fired.

The last concert of the month is upon me, and it's the Who ... I'm still really down about Clapton since I looked fwd to it for so long, and don't even know when its rescheduled, and if I'll have anyone to go with if it is. But I'm sure the Who will be amazing... because they are amazing. I'm going to that with John White... should be good.

Mat Kearny might be a concert I go see in November... a cheaper one... even if it's the same day as Bob Dylan and the Foo Fighters at the Palace.

Month of concerts

September is indeed here, and it's the time when everything gets rollin' with school, and it's the month of 4 concerts I'll be going to.
John Mayer this Saturday the 9th in Chicago with Lindsey, Laura, Deanna, and Jordan. Should be a good one, cheap seats, and going with a good group of people.
9 days later is Roger Waters September 19th at the Palace. Going to that with Mark D, Jake, and John Charon. He's doing the entire Dark Side of the Moon album, as well as another set of other solo, and Pink Floyd music
That same week on Saturday the 23 is Eric Clapton, at the Palace as well... Still not 100% certain who I'll be taking, but a pretty good idea. floor seats, so should be a good show.
Than 6 days later is The Who at the Palace ( yea going to be at the Palace of Auburn Hills 3 times in 2 weeks) with John White and his friend Jake. Should be a great show, I've listened to some of their latest album sounds good.
I'm looking forward to all these shows, and it should be a crazy month... needless to say I'll be taking a much needed break from concerts for awhile after this one, to help get some money back in the bank lol... Atleast they are all with it, great shows with great people, so there is no reason to complain.

Side note, school has started, it's going well, may be a tough semester, but as of now seems ok. This labor day weekend I worked third shift... was interesting, really messed up my sleep schedule i slept all day up all night. The first night (friday) i had visitors, Jordan, Andy Crowder ( 4 times due to him working third at campus safety) and Jeff Cole. So that was cool. Saturday had Jeff Cole visit at 2-3 or so.. so that was nice helped time go faster. Other than work and sleep I did nothing, saw Jon and Jer for a lil bit. Today nothing... O well.

Bob Dylan concert.

I ran into Alan Lawrence, Ed Devries, Jeff Hulswit, at the concert, so was cool we were up in front close to the stage.

the first opening act, a folk / blue grass band/ Elana James and the Continental two... very good,
Junior Brown was ok, I only know of him from a Beach Boy cover he did.
Jimmy Vaughn was unreal good, amazing guitar... very bluesy, and a couple jazzy songs.
Than Bob Dylan, opened up with Maggies Farm, everyone including us went nuts... just to see Bob Dylan a unreal expierance, can't explain that... but it is. His second song was Times They Are a Changin .... everyone sang a long, than a new song, than Mr. Tamborine Man .... since we were in the front, a lot of people were lighting up during the 2nd and 3rd song... kinda funny. He continued with great songs, like It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) , Shelter From the Storm ( i loved it), and suprizingly he did Masters of War. After like 2 minutes went of people clapping and screaming myself included, they came back out. did Like a Rolling Stone... great version of it, than he did a heavy yet slow Along the Watchtower . Lyrics were slow, but between verses very heavy Hendrixesque style. Was amazing. And the only time he spoke to the audience was between 'Rolling Stone, and Along the Watchtower. To introduce that band, not a surprize though. At the end the band just stood on the stage and walked off. Everyone clapped for more, but had to know  there woudl not be a second encore.
I had an excellant time, finally got to see Dylan, and loved it. not since seeing Brian Wilson was I so excited to see an artist. He looked good , and sounded good all things considered. By sounding good I mean he can still sing despite the ravagedness of his voice. He didn't play guitar, just the keyboards, that was a drag, but overall he still did great.

sorry if the grammer is less than satisfactory... I'm already terrible with it, and now I'm really tired since I worked at 7 am today. Now must go to bed since i work 7am again tomorrow for uncertain reasons... I'm going to be dead tomorrow.
